Project Management

Our experience

With decades of experience in telecoms infrastructure project management, we have a thorough understanding of both the industry and the processes of the wider world of construction.


Our projects typically include provision of the following services:

  • Contract management
  • Construction management
  • Project programming
  • Cost preparation and evaluations communication infrastructure

Lead Consultant

Because of the nature of some of our clients - and where they remain as Project Manager - we often take the role of Lead Consultant, drawing together the consultant team and acting as the principal route for communication between the Client and the design team. 


As such, our lead consultant's role might include: 


  • Coordinating, monitoring and reviewing the work of the consultant team (and others, such as specialist designers and specialist contractors)
  • Arranging consultant team meetings and planning work stages
  • Preparing programmes and progress reports
  • Advising on the choice of procurement route
  • Advising whether or not additional advisers, consultants or specialist designers should be appointed
  • Establishing change control procedures at key stages, for example when the project brief or detailed design is frozen
  • Arranging value management exercises
  • Advising on the choice of contract and contract conditions
  • Assisting to define selection criteria for contractors and preparing pre-qualification questionnaires 
  • Coordinating the review of tenders


Some of these roles listed above may appear to duplicate tasks undertaken by the Project Manager. However, in this model, the Project Manager is acting as if they were the Client, whereas the Lead Consultant is coordinating the activities of the consultant team. 

CDM Regulations

In addition to managing a project, we are regularly required to undertake the role of Principal Designer under the CDM Regulations. Our experience and knowledge of the specialist nature of the telecoms environment brings both reassurance and  'added value' to our clients.


In some instances, it may not be appropriate or desirable for us to handle CDM issues in-house. However, we have a long standing relationship with an independent external CDM specialist who we will happily recommend to prospective clients.
