Analysis and Design
What we offer
We specialise in the analysis and design of towers and guyed masts.
Existing structures are analysed using a quasi-static approach with the facility to include extra members, for example antenna cross arms. We possess a number of general and finite element analysis programs for analysis of more unusual structures. New towers are designed to BS8100 using MS Tower and Robot Millennium FE packages.
Where we hold existing models, we also carry out structural capacity checks to ensure compliance with Home Office guidelines and the determination of satisfactory utilisation factors given the tower's capacity. If additional capacity is required, we can design an appropriate and practical strengthening scheme.
